[Reflection] Hayoul Oh - Shaping Changes, Together

I joined the Green Tree Club because I wanted to do something meaningful with my time. Volunteering not only lets me give back, but it also helps me build important skills like critical thinking and leadership. Being part of this club has taught me a lot about life, especially through working with kids, which I really enjoy. For anyone looking to boost their communication and social skills, this club is a great place to start. Thanks to the events organized by Green Tree, I’ve been able to meet new people and try activities I’d never done before. Volunteering with friends makes it even more special, creating memories that I know I’ll keep forever.

One of the activities I look forward to the most is helping kids with their homework. I find it fulfilling to support them in their studies, and I think it’s beneficial for both the kids and myself. I’d also love to organize science experiments for them, which would allow them to explore science in a hands-on, exciting way. Science activities like these are fun for everyone, even older students, and I think they could make learning feel more approachable and enjoyable for the younger kids.

Beyond our club activities, there are many ways we can support underprivileged people and bring awareness to their challenges. One way is by educating others about poverty and the role we can play in addressing it. Helping people understand these issues can inspire them to develop a more compassionate perspective. Another way we can help is by donating essential items that many people might take for granted, like toilet paper, water, and warm clothing. Small contributions like these can help those in need.

I believe that by working together and sharing what we have, we can help build a better community for everyone. Green Tree has shown me that making even a small impact is rewarding, and it’s a reminder that we all have the power to make changes.
