Visit to Seoul Zoo: Mar. 24, 2025
Our annual picnic with the kids from the Life-Giving Tree Organization took place on a sunny spring day at Seoul Zoo, and from the moment we met at the entrance, their excitement was contagious!

Inside the zoo, their faces lit up at every new animal. With each exhibit, they’d point excitedly and let out little gasps of wonder. After we visited the animals, we headed to the playground, where the real fun kicked in. We ran around with them, pushed them on swings, and shared in all the laughter.
By lunchtime, we gathered around for sandwiches, snacks, and juice boxes. It was a simple meal, but with everyone chatting and laughing together, it felt special. The kids were full of questions about us, the animals, and even each other’s favorite things, which led to some fun and heartwarming conversations.
After lunch, we made one last round to check out their favorite animals again. By now, the kids had settled into their “roles” in the group—some acted as tour guides, confidently leading the way, while others stuck close, sharing stories and laughing along with us.
When it was time to leave, we headed to the exit with hugs and promises to see each other again soon. Saying goodbye was bittersweet, but as we walked away, we felt grateful for the day we’d shared and were already excited for next year’s picnic. Knowing that this tradition can bring lasting memories and meaningful connections for both the kids and us made every moment of the day unforgettable.
